Wake County is the second most populous county in North Carolina, with a population of over 800,000. The county includes the state capital of Raleigh and a mix of urban and rural towns. Led by Chairman David Robinson, the Wake County Republican Party realized that to be effective in 2008 and beyond, the party needed to embrace communications vehicles of the 21st century.
